The Bank of Italy said that its
assessments suggest that Italy's GDP registered positive growth
in the first quarter of this year.
Andrea Brandolini, deputy head of the the Bank of Italy's
economics and statistics department, told a parliamentary
hearing on the government's DFP economic blueprint that the rise
was driven by services and construction.
He said Italy's GDP rose by 0.1% in the last quarter of 2024
after being flat over the summer.
