Pope Francis will visit Rome's Regina
Coeli Prison on Thursday, Vatican sources said Wednesday.
The pope, who on previous Holy Thursdays has washed prisoners'
feet in commemoration of the Last Supper, will give some inmates
a copy of the Gospel.
The meeting should take place privately tomorrow afternoon and
will only be held if his health conditions allow it, the sources
said.
Francis, 88, is recuperating after 38 days battling
life-threatening pneumonia in a Rome hospital.
