The late Pope Francis spoke about
clerical sex abuse a lot but didn't do much about it, Italian
victims of predatory paedophile priests said after the
88-year-old pontiff's death on Monday.
"A Pope who spoke a lot about pedophilia, perhaps the pontiff
who spoke about it the most", great compliments from all over
the world, always and in any case. But the intellectual honesty
to delve into these infinite words or writings has not been
grasped by anyone", said a note signed by Cristina Balestrini on
behalf of the Coordination of the Relatives of the Victims,
released on the day of Pope Francis' death, with a bitter tone.
"We, the families of the victims of pedophile priests, want to
express our thanks to Pope Francis: THANK YOU for having spoken
so much about pedophilia, without having done anything concrete
to combat it".
