United States President Donald Trump
and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni have a "very special
relationship" and intend to collaborate on issues such as ending
the war in Ukraine, a senior US official said during a call on
Thursday's visit to the White House by the Italian prime
minister.
Trump has described Meloni in the past as "fantastic" and said
"she has taken Europe by storm".
Meloni, too, has described their relationship as very strong.
