Centre-right Forza Italia (FI)
Senator Licia Ronzulli was on Thursday elected deputy speaker of
the Senate with 102 votes in favour, 50 blank ballots, 5 null
ballots and 6 votes for other candidates.
The former FI Senate whip replaces Maurizio Gasparri, who
resigned concurrently from the position in a 'relay' proposed by
the majority coalition partner.
