Grassroots union USB on Saturday
announced an immediate strike by hauliers across Italy that will
also include local public transport.
The union said the truckers' strike would be "indefinite", until
it gets a satisfactory response to its grievances from the
government.
About half the hauliers involve are in the food sector.
The bus, tram and underground strike time frame will be
announced shortly, USB said.
