Agriculture, industry, and finance:
The European Commission will host three "high-level" roundtables
next week with representatives from these sectors and civil
society to prepare the long-awaited water resilience strategy,
expected "before summer."
The first roundtable, focused on "Water, Agriculture, and the
Food Supply Chain," is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, and will
explore how the agricultural and food sectors can contribute to
strengthening water resilience. The second roundtable, set for
March 27, will address "Water and Industry," aiming to enhance
the sector's competitive advantage in water resource management
and innovative technologies. The third session, titled "Water
and Finance," will take place on March 28, focusing on
investment needs related to strengthening water resilience.
All three meetings will be led by the European Commissioner for
the Environment, Jessika Roswall.
