Contact has been lost with the cabin
of the Monte Faito cableway near Naples that remained blocked
upstream of the system following the breakdown due to bad
weather this afternoon, local sources said Thursday.
There are said to be 3 or 4 passengers on board with an
operator.
Due to the terrible weather conditions on the summit of Faito,
the rescuers activated since the afternoon are having difficulty
reaching the site.
The cabin is not visible, perhaps due to the heavy fog, and
cannot be reached by radio.
