A woman was in serious condition in
hospital near Parma Friday after being stabbed in the neck,
chest and forearms and police sought her husband, who died
shortly afterwards in a front-on collision with a van.
Police said they could not rule out a suicide by the 53-year-old
man.
The van's two occupants are in serious condition.
The woman was stabbed at San Secondo Parmense.
The couple's two young children called the police.
