The Ambassador of Italy in Baghdad, Niccolò Fontana, at the invitation of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, travelled to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region to participate with Consul General Tommaso Sansone in the Newroz celebrations. The dialogue with the Kurdish Authorities confirmed the great appreciation towards Italy and the utmost interest in further qualifying bilateral relations at all levels, especially in the economic field. The occasion was also profitable to meet the Italian NGOs involved in humanitarian cooperation and development activities in Iraq and to greet the Italian military contingent engaged in the 'Prima Parthica' mission at the Camp Singara Base, on the occasion of the donation of 4,000 ampoules of Vitamin D to the Ministry of Health of Iraqi Kurdistan.
