The promotion of the Italian language in Azerbaijan and the strengthening of exchange opportunities between universities and students from the two countries were the focus of a meeting held at the Italian Embassy in Baku. A delegation from the University for Foreigners of Perugia, led by Rector Valerio De Cesaris, was received by Italian Ambassador Luca di Gianfrancesco. The rector then had a meeting with the rector of Azerbaijan Adu University, Kamal Abdullayev, on the sidelines of which the opening ceremony of the new Italian language certification centre took place. De Cesaris also participated in a conference on the topic of tolerance and multiculturalism.
