Italy promoted and supported two training initiatives for local civil servants in Accra.
Within the framework of the OECD Africa Governance Platform, with the active participation of the Ghana Public Service Commission, the training of civil servants from various African countries took place, an initiative strongly supported by the Italian government, in particular the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Public Administration and the Italian National School of Public Administration.
In addition, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, in collaboration with the Ghanaian Ministry of Justice and the Judicial Training Institute, organised a course on the International Cooperation of the Judiciary. The training for judges in Ghana is part of the 'Rule of Law and Cooperation in Africa (2024- 2025)' project funded by the Farnesina.
The Italian Ambassador to Accra, Laura Ranalli, participated in the opening session of the OECD-Acbf Policy Dialogue and the concluding session of the course on International Judicial Cooperation, outlining Italy's strong commitment to training and capacity building in Ghana, also in the context of the Mattei Plan for Africa.
