Paris does not understand the spirit
of Premier Giorgia Meloni's trip to see US President Donald
Trump on April 17th, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said after
a French minister said she would be breaking EU unity with the
foray.
They obviously did not understand the spirit of this mission,
the European Union is very happy that Italy goes to speak to
support European positions," said Tajani, who is also deputy
premier, commenting on the doubts expressed by Industry Minister
Marc Ferracci.
"It seems to me that France has done many missions. We are Italy
and we work in the interest of the European Union".
