Two Italian skiers are dead after being hit by an avalanche in the north of Sweden, the Niehku Mountain Villas tourist agency said on Friday.
The deceased, aged 45 and 50, were part of a party of five Italians on a heli-skiing excursion at Kårsavagge, close to the border with Norway.
The Alpine guide that was with the group was also hit by the avalanche but, unlike the two deceased, he stayed on the surface of the snow and was not buried under it.
The victims were named as brothers Mattia and Daniele Böer.
Mattia, 50, worked in the family dental practice at Torre Pellice near Turin.
Daniele, 45, worked for a Swiss property company near Geneva.
The family is originally from Switzerland.
