TIM is back in Italian hands after
State-controlled postal-and-financial-services company Poste
Italiane said that it had replaced Vivendi as the
telecommunications group's top stakeholder following the
acquisition of 15% of it from the French group.
The 684-million-euro transaction took Poste Italiane's total
stake in the former state monopoly operator up to 24.81% after
it acquired 9.81% of TIM's shares from Italian State development
lender CDP on 15 February.
