The second edition of the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week 2025 has come to an end, which once again saw the presence and strong imprint of the Italian creative industries in the fashion industry.
Organised by Roxana Voloseniuc, Director of Elle Romania, and Mario Antico, the MBBFW exhibition consolidated its position as a reference event at regional level. The support of the Italian institutions aims to raise its profile also with a view to the potential interest of Italian operators in the sector, who may find there a point of access to the markets of South-Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
The exhibition had its inaugural evening with an exclusive event on 27 March 2025 at Villa Stolojan, the historic Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Bucharest, an occasion to highlight the strong imprint of Italian skills in the whole structure of the event.
The Opening Party was attended by more than 150 guests from the world of fashion, national and international specialised press, stylists, buyers, influencers and industry personalities, and had Italian designer Tiziano Guardini as guest of honour.
On 28 March 2025, the main stage of the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, held in the throne room of the Royal Palace now used as the National Art Museum of Romania, welcomed one of the most eagerly awaited fashion shows of this second edition, that of Romeo Gigli, one of the masters of Italian fashion. With a collection that enchanted the audience, Gigli once again demonstrated his ability to innovate while keeping his timeless elegance intact. His fashion show was a celebration of Italian sartorial art, enchanting those present with a mix of modernity and tradition.
