The Italian Ambassador to Riyadh, Carlo Baldocci attended the inauguration of the exhibition 'Venice, Ryadh and the Legacy of Marco Polo: A New Horizon Opens'. The exhibition, showcasing works by Italian artists, is hosted by l'Art Pur Fondation, a museum with one of the largest art galleries in the Middle East, and curated by Giacomo Marco Valerio. On display are works by artist Manuel Bonfanti, photographer and visual artist Federico Garibaldi and multidisciplinary artist and programmer Florencia S.M. Brück.
On display are the gigantic canvas 'In the middle of Now Where'- 33 square metres of volcanic, primitive red - and 'Unveiled Space' by Manuel Bonfanti, four new photographs and two video works from Federico Garibaldi's blueShores collection, and the artificial intelligence re-elaboration of works by Florencia S.M. Brück, who also presents some pieces from her AI Futuristic Narratives in Historical Artistry.
"The exhibition represents an interesting journey that explores different art forms, from digital to photography, passing through the art of Manuel Bonfanti, already known from the Venice Biennale," commented Ambassador Baldocci Ambassador of Italy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based in Riyadh. The exhibition unfolds through the lens of exploration and contamination between cultures. The works, some of which are very large, are therefore a splendid example of bridging cultures and the fruitful intermingling in the field of art'. The opening ceremony was also attended by representatives of the royal family and the founder of L'Art Pur Foundation, Princess Adwaa bint Yazid Bin Abdallah, together with museum director Rania Rizk.
