Carlo Ancelotti will do well as
Brazil coach, Brazil and Roma legend Paulo Roberto Falcao, a
friend of the former Roma and Milan midfielder who has become
the world's most successful club coach, said on Tuesday.
Ancelotti is leaving Real Madrid to coach the Selecao until the
next World Cup at least, on a rumoured contract of 10 million
euro a year plus a five million bonus if the Verde Oro win the
World Cup.
"I like it, I'm happy he's coming here. The Selecao will benefit
and so will he", Falcao, the former 'Eighth King of Rome' who
won the scudetto in 1983, said in an interview with the
Brazilian sports website Band.
Falco said he fully backed the Brazilian Football Federation's
choice to hire Ancelotti.
"Carlo is a lad of uncommon simplicity and humility for a coach
of his greatness", said the former Brazilian midfielder, citing
the many times he followed his training sessions and his ability
to "manage problems" as in the case of Deco during his time at
Chelsea.
