The mother of Chiara Poggi, a
26-year-old economics graduate killed by her then 24-year-old
economic student boyfriend Alberto Stasi in August 2007, told
ANSA on the phone Friday she hoped she would never meet her
daughter's killer after he was grated day release from prison
earlier in the day.
The news of 41-year-old Stasi's 'semi-liberty' reached the Poggi
household, in Garlasco, with the regional news.
Chiara's mother, Rita Preda, is preparing for yet another siege
by TV and newspapers, but once again she does not shy away from
a first, terse comment. "We found out a little while ago," she
said when contacted by telephone by ANSA.
"We only feel, once again, so much bitterness. We only hope to
never meet him".
