Pope Francis is "gradually" resuming
meetings related to his position at the helm of the Catholic
Church as he continues to recover from pneumonia, the Vatican
Press Office said on Tuesday.
It said he had a meeting with Vatican Secretary of State
Cardinal Pietro Parolin on Monday.
The pope is also receiving documents and is in contact with the
Roman Curia, the body through which the Vatican runs the
Catholic Church, the press office said.
The 88-year-old Argentine pontiff left Rome's Gemelli hospital
on March 23 after 38 days of treatment for bilateral pneumonia
there.
The Vatican said Francis would need two months of convalescence
after he left hospital.
