HRT, the Croatian public television station, has reported that Croatia has sent a diplomatic protest note to Serbia in response to the detention and expulsion of five Croatian citizens who were participating in a meeting of civil society organisations held in the Serbian capital.
Croatia, according to local media, issued a strong protest against the Serbian authorities' action and requested an explanation, suggesting moreover to its citizens to avoid travelling to Serbia, if not necessary.
A total of 13 foreign
nationals who participated in the workshop were expelled,
Serbian media meanwhile reported.
