Italian businesses see both the
general economic situation and their own short-term operating
conditions as worsening, according to the Bank of Italy's latest
Inflation and Growth Expectations Survey.
It said companies' prospects for the current year are weighed
down by uncertainty and concerns about the direct or indirect
effects of US trade policies.
It also said business expectations for inflation have risen,
although they see it remaining below 2%.
