Italy's public debt hit a new record
high of 3.0339 trillion euros in March, an increase of 9.5
billion euros with respect to February, the Bank of Italy said
on Thursday.
It said a public sector borrowing requirement of 23.7 billion
euros in March was only partially offset by other factors,
including a reduction in the Treasury's liquid assets of 13.9
billion to 62.2 billion.
