Slovenia has joined Iceland,
Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, and Spain in issuing a statement
expressing deep concern over Israel's reported plans to expand
military operations in Gaza, according to Slovenian news agency
STA.
"We, the foreign ministers of Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg,
Norway, Slovenia, and Spain, express deep concern about Israel's
reported plans to expand military operations in Gaza. This would
imply crossing yet another line, resulting in a dangerous new
escalation and jeopardising any prospects for a viable two-state
solution," the ministers wrote in a joint statement issued on
Wednesday.
"What is needed more urgently than ever is the resumption of
a cease-fire and the unconditional release of all hostages," the
ministers stated.
